I have been sick the last two days which gave me more time to lay back and write quite a few chapters for the book. I thought I was being clever when, in one scene, I had her reading Madame Bovary. I had never read the book myself but I know what the story is about.

Madame Bovary is married to a very nice but very dull man and in her desperation for passion, she gets involved in scandalous affairs…

Come to find out, after doing some further research, Madame Bovary’s husband’s name is Charles. Charles is also the name of the husband that gets cheated on in my novel. This of course was an accident, given that I had never fully read M.B. Now I’m torn whether to keep my character’s name or not.

Would you keep the name?
